Aquarium WINS. AAHH!
Ok, I was so interested in this I did some investigating...it's not an actual aquarium, it's just a venue. They have a myspace: http://www.myspace.com/theaquariumfargo
Lame. Let's just keep imagining SK6 having a gig at an aquarium and our inner Mel's will be there cheering them on.

well then, i DO NOT want to spend my birthday at that place. so sad. that's not an aquarium. that's false advertising.

Maybe doing the 9/11 show in Fairfield (Followed by Tonic 9/12 and Ingrid Michaelson 9/13, wowza!). Definitely doing the 10/30 show in Albany maybe making the trek for the 10/31 show in Rochester.

lol, the aquarium is an actual venue.
my friend told me about the fargo show yesterday and i'm going! she was kind of contemplative, and im like, "dude, 10 hours?! so there." i grew up in a town just 10 min north of the border so north dakota just doesnt seem far to me......even though i now live 5 hours from north dakota.

i'm so tempted to spend my birthday in Fargo, ND at The Aquarium.
you should! why not take a mini trip to the most boring state in the country?
plus, fargo? my friend and i are worried we'll be the only people there.... and thats happened before and its kind of awkward.

Mal, dude, I'm "contemplative" b/c a 20-hr roadtrip for one show isn't exactly a normal, common event, lol. Especially when that show is in ND versus say, California?
Posted 2 years ago on July 29, 2009 LINK -
tam- it's a small school 30 min outside of PSU called Juniata.

since WHEN do i stick to normal, common events? lets be real here.
plus, ill get to see some childhood friends for a couple days out of this trip, and probably my grandparents. always good. so its not JUST the concert for me, although, obviously...that is the reason.

Bought my tickets for Albany!! Now just waiting for Oct 30th!
Posted 2 years ago on August 7, 2009 LINK -
Hey we just got our Albany tickets as well!! Where are you? We are row B seats 110 and 112 I believe!
<3 Cathy & Kelly <3Posted 2 years ago on August 7, 2009 LINK -
Row C - Seats 110 + 112. I'll be right behind you!
I got distracted and didn't try to get tickets until 10:30, so no front row, oh well!
Posted 2 years ago on August 7, 2009 LINK -
I'm sorry
but if it makes you feel better we had row C last year and they are GREAT seats! Thats funny you'll be right behind us! Did you go to last years show at the egg? I really like that venue!

I'm planning on doing at least the Indianapolis show, but I'm in an e-mail discussion with the venue about them letting me bring my recording gear in. They're fine with the recording, but seem to be concerned that people will complain about my mic stand. Has anybody ever seen a mic stand at a show and thought "well, that's going to get in my way of enjoying the show"?
Posted 2 years ago on August 8, 2009 LINK -
i've had the direct opposite reaction, matt! i see the mic and am excited that someone is taping it. hope they let you do it!

i'm going to State College for sure! just bought my tix. where is everyone sitting?

That would be awesome if you could tape, Matt. There has definitely been a decline in taped SK shows over the years. And no, I never think that when I see a mic stand. Like what's already been said, I am usually EXCITED when I see a mic stand.

Yup, I was row C last year (which is really 2nd row since there is no row A). The Egg is such a cool venue! I can't wait to do it again this year and to bring another newbie along.
Posted 2 years ago on August 10, 2009 LINK -
the show at The Egg was my favorite from last tour. I'm hoping I can make it there again this year.

I will probably go to Northampton, and I just got tickets to The Egg, too! Yayy I am really looking forward to this fall!
