   Thought this was really cool so I wanted to share. SK6ers are this week's featured artist on the Sun Studios website here: http://www.sunstudio.com/sessions/

   Great video of "Fourth of July" and interview, but for me the real treat is seeing them play in Sun Studios. If you have ANY interest in Rock n Roll history, you MUST visit Sun Studios in Memphis, TN. It's one of my favorite (and most interesting) places ever - and where Rock n Roll was truly born. The first Rock N Roll single was recorded there ("Rocket 88") and a young kid stopped in to record a song for his mom's birthday...his name was Elvis. Anyway, I could go on and on. How awesome they played and recorded in the same place as some of the best that's ever been.

   that is awesome!!!!

   Sun Studios is an amazing place. the first time I was there they were having a private wedding & we didn't know & just walked in the front door.. but they were really nice & offered us cake, ha ha. There's just a sense of history around it, & you can definitely feel it standing in that studio.

   this is almost relevant:

   Sun Studios was recently on an episode of Gene Simmons Family Jewels...and so was my uncle!!
   The episode is titled "Memphis Blues" and Gene & Nick visit Memphis & Clarksdale. The end of the episode when Nick is playing at Ground Zero, the band backing him is my uncle's band. My uncle plays keys and they actually show him quite a bit. They filmed it right after he moved down to Mississippi last year for a job at Ole Miss. Pretty sweet if you ask me!
   Just wanted everyone to let ya know in case you happened to catch it. I'm sure it'll be on again if you wanted to set your DVRs.
