    A note from Stephen'

"After three years, two records and many, many thousands of miles of American road, Chris Soucy, the Old Man Souce, has decided to take time off from the band.
The decision is completely friendly on all sides and Souce always has been and always will be part of SK6ERS family. The man wants to sleep in his bed for more
nights of the year and while we'll miss his presence nightly, we certainly understand the importance of being home. We've been so lucky to have his talents and sense
of humor out with us for the last 600 plus shows and I would be really sad if I wasn't so sure we'd be working together again sometime down the road.

In the mean time we'll be doing different things. Inviting some familiar and new faces to work with us and developing our shows full speed ahead like always. The first
such person is our good friend Kyle Riabko, who will be joining us for the Dirty Ol' Tour 07. All the best to OMS and we'll see everybody this Fall."

Oh no! :( I understand that he wants a little time off the road, but that's really upsetting. All the best, we'll miss you Soucy, and see you soon!

I totally couldn't do that whole non-stop tour thing. I hope he enjoys the next phase of his journey! Still, he will be most certainly missed! :|

Um okay....what the fuck? I just went to type something, hit enter to go down and it disappeared...
anyway, I am going to miss Soucy a lot a lot a lot and it will most definitely not be the same without him. I hope "time off" doesn't mean forever, and only means a little break!
I am still very saddened I won't be seeing him in October... I was/am very excited to be able to go and hopefully shoot with my brand new camera, and show them it... I remember when I first went backstage to shoot them (first backstage EVER, and if you've met me, you know I'm shy) Soucy asked me about what music I was listening to and gave me a guitar pick. It made me feel welcome and it will not be the same shooting them without him. :( I am tying a lot...anyway.........yeah. :(

while this definitely sucks big time, i can totally understand why souce made the decision that he did. i met him at my first sixers show about 3 years ago and it'll just be weird not seeing him on stage with the rest of the guys.

Dude, Laura...I am too. I just looked at pictures from our show in June and I thought to myself..."whoa, that is the last time I will see Soucy." (for awhile anyway). Depressing.

I was at Soucy's final show last night at William & Mary. It was bittersweet...The show was great, but it was sad knowing that it was his last show. :(

Chris picked the set list and did a really good job on it (Glassjaw Boxer, 4th Of July, Southern State Of Mind, Vegas...to name a few). They also made him do the underpants dance, put sweet and low in his water for the chugging contest, and made him sing some Amy Winehouse. My friend took a video, so she'll be posting that soon.

I guess I will not see you at the Park West. Enjoy the time off, you def deserve it. It will not be the same without you on the stage. Take it easy, and make sure to come back soon.

oh- at William & mary (soucy's send off show)
boots and I also covered his amps with lunch meat, taped his
guitar strings down (with clear tape) and wedged some
bread under his volume pedal so he couldn't press it down
    to make his guitar audible.

the first half of the first song was fucking hilarious.
he was scrambling around untaping his strings and chucking
roast beef all over the place...

ohhh Chris Soucy, The Meat Chucker- we will miss you...

    ...at some point.
    HAHAHA

Stacie took a lot of pictures, but I'm not sure if the meat throwing made it on film. It was hilarious to see lunch meat being flung around the stage during the first half of the show. I'm glad I wasn't the one being hit in the face with it...gross!
I'll tell Stacie to post her pictures, I haven't seen them all yet.
