Man, it was filled with the most rude people ever. People were talking through out the entire night. Then there were all the grumpy people up front. I've never seen anything like it. A ton of people with arms crossed and blank stares. Hopefully tomorrow night will be better.

Other then that it was a great show. I got some good pics too! Sk played 4th Street Moon almost solo lol it was awesome. I have decent audio of that. I put pics up tomorrow!

Oh, I almost forgot the most annoying girl behind me who thought it would be cool to sing loudly out loud to every song! So not cool!

I'm glad I'm not the only one who found the crowd absolutely ridiculous! The talking was out of control and while we didn't have grumpy people near us, we did have completely drunk people who thought it would be fun to try to knock us over while they spilled beer on us and yelled back and forth to each other all night long. Not so fun!! I'm really hoping tonight is better because last night sucked. The show was great but the crowd was really annoying the hell out of me.

I think that 4th street moon was my favorite part of the show! I got it on video too but I have to see how it came out since I was using a new camera. I'll post when I get them uploaded.

I think I might have been one of the grumpy people you speak of. I was right in front of the girl singing loudly in my ear all night long. Also a tooth ache didn't help either. Great set list however! Maybe tonight I'll hang in the balcony and be able to enjoy myself like the other five shows this year.

My stupidity also ticked me off! My fiance and I got there an hour and a half before doors opened, froze outside and got a nice cold rain while the whole time we could have been inside at the bar. The price you pay to see an amazing songwriter! GOOD TIMES

I knew it was not going to be a good night for the crowd once Stephen came out during Serena's set to say something, and then once again during Girlfriend as Pretty.... I was hoping that the loud ones didn't ruin it for the rest of us, and that he wouldn't turn his back on us like that one show earlier in the year. That is the problem when you have a bar on the opposite side of the room from the stage. I know that has to be one of the guy's biggest pet peeves.

However, I was near the stage, and I thought the crowd was excellent around me for the most part (I think I was right next to that loud dancing couple as well). It was a great show. The 4th Street Moon version was awesome, and reminded me of the slow version of sweet sophia he played at the beat kitchen. Always glad to see the tuba make an appearance during Bus Song. Seven Spanish Angels cover was awesome. Great version of the classics as well (Maria, Start the Day, and Flower in Rain). Overall, another fantastic show.

As for tonight, I hope that the all ages aspect will alleviate some of the drunk crowd talking. As this tour is full of surprises, I am pumped to see what they bring to the table tonight. Personally, I am hoping for a blue jean or america song.

I was going to ask if Stephen said anything to the crowd.... that show sounds similar to the one in Vancouver BC a couple weeks ago. It was at a bar & there were several people there for the bar, not the band. There weren't a whole lot of them, but it was a small venue & there were enough that they were super loud & obnoxious & SK definitely called them out on it. They were way too drunk to notice, though. They did leave before the end of the show, which was good :)

I was up front. Not grumpy...had a great time! My arms were crossed in front of me because I didn't have a beer because some drunk ass 17 year old knocked it out of my hand. That is what you get for going to an all ages show! But, I still had a great time and I love the band! Hope to be up front again tonight! I do agree there were some rude people...but then again there were teenagers there.

You know I still can't seem to wrap my head around the fact that people talk during the main act. Ok so it's one thing to chat a bit while the opening acts are on...RUDE! but still ehh whatevs...However when the band you PAID to see and stood in the FREEZING RAIN comes on and sings a song why in the HELL are you still talking??!?? Also, if you're tone deaf and DRUNK please for God's sake DO NOT sing!! You kill it for the rest of us! haha
Sorry for this rant but I feel almost embarrassed to be apart of a crowd like that! It makes me upset because I hope the guys don't think we all are like that! Whew...well there's my two cents.
    PS. AMAZING SET LIST!

Drove down for both Chicago shows.....crowd was definitely less than stellar. I can't believe both nights he had to ask people to shut up during his music. Night 2 we had to ask 2 EXTREMELY loud drunk girls who were practically screaming during the set to SHUT UP. Also the only time I've been to an SK6ers shows where I was shoved out of my spot by ladies who apparently think they are at a Hanson concert. I think I'll stick to the other midwest states like normal from now on...... But definitely some great music was heard. Cradle of Family? Satisfied Man? Maria intro from back in the day? Yes please.

I hate when people do that...it's like...if you wanted to have a conversation, you should have went to dinner instead.

I only went to the second show so on Sat and the crowd made me miss my hometown Minnesotan crowd from the week before. But the crowd did get it together after the much needed scolding. Their cheers for the encore...and second encore, where absolutely overwhelming.

The crowds in Chicago aren't usually that bad at all (in my experience at least!)...I don't know what was up this weekend but it was kind of ridiculous!

^yeah chiacgo shows have all been really good

i think it has more to do with the place and layout then with the city in general, in my opinion. the sixers should never go back to this place.

    um.... that sounds amazing. Jealous!!!

Usually Chicago shows are fantastic, but then again I've only ever seen them at Schuba's in Chicago, which is like the best venue ever =)

is it me, or was there an abundance of tall dudes at the saturday night show? we were back by the sound board and kept having to shift around to see.

that was the first time i've ever heard "satisfied man" or "cradle of family" live, and they were both incredible. also, this was maybe the second time i've ever been at a show to hear "vegas" live, complete with a nice little shout-out. :) it made my night.

I was at Saturday's show and glad Stephen called out the talkers. my only problem was being pretty much boxed in by the people around me and having a tall guy or two blocking my way sometime.

on a happier note, this was my second time hearing Cradle of Family live and it blew me away. amazing!

Chicago usually has a great crowd!!! I don't know what was wrong with that crowd. But it was annoying... I didn't run into any annoying people personally, but I heard them. And what the hell was with not letting in the freezing people? It started HAILING! What a shitty venue.
    They were still great shows.
    Photos coming soon.

I thoght they were bad...until I went to last night's show (Cleveland). This city is an embarrassment for concerts, I've learned more than once. Stephen had to stop twice and told them he would pay them to leave and told the people they were annoying, he was having a terrible time, etc. When I was talking to him after the show he said he felt bad with the way he handled it but I told him he handled it perfectly...and he did. Another reason I am proud to be a fan :) .

Wow, that is bad. I always feel bad when that happens. I hope they still had a good time. I thought Subterranean was bad but that is much worse. Compare that to Cincy, where they had a tiny crowd but it was a great show. What a difference a day makes.

I agree, the crowd in Cleveland was the worst I've seen. The past few times the bands come thru Cleveland the crowds were much better. My apologizes to the band for the jerks in my city.

I know, they were horrible. He stopped again during 'Milwaukee' and told them he was having a terrible time, he'd pay them to leave, and he even singled people out (he also said Serena came backstage in tears because of crowd). I'm REALLY glad he did he what he did. Any concert I've been to where the crowd was bad, nothing is ever said. He told everyone he wouldn't blame them if they left, since it was so awkward then haha. He felt bad, when I was talking to him after the show, but my friends and I re-assured him that he SHOULDN'T. There's no need to come to a show and disrespect the artist. Bleh.

I just listened to Milwaukee from this show. Wow, it's kind of sad. Especially cause Stephen was telling us how excited he was to go to Cleveland cause they always have such great crowds.
