I was in Pittsburgh today to see Jason Mraz, and while I was waiting to meet him, I saw a woman with an Alternate Routes t-shirt. I said "Hey! Alternate Routes...do you know Stephen Kellogg?" And she did! We talked about the Rock Boat, the tattoo I am hoping to get (I e-mailed Stephen...), and...Kyle's departure before the month's end.
Who's taking his place? Is Soucy coming back?

I was told that they're auditioning people to fill Kyle's spot. I'm gonna miss Kyle! I think he fit in well with the group but I also think that the play will be an awesome opportunity for him.
I'm going to miss Kyle. I was hostile about him replacing Soucy, and I'll be hostile against whoever replaces Kyle, but I don't think the Sixers would pick someone that we wouldn't like.
I'm guessing it'll just be Stephen, Kit, and Boots finishing off the Hanson tour then, right? I'm assuming they won't bring in a new guitarist until they're back to headlining shows. I'm super bummed, though. I was looking forward to seeing Kyle again, and he's leaving a week before my shows start.
Kyle had to miss the Des Moines show and a guy named Pat sat in. I hadn't seen him before and I didn't catch his last name but maybe he is the one who will replace Kyle.
I was thinking maybe that Pat guy also... but then again there's so many people that sit in with the 6ers, it could be one of them as well. Dave Chalfant sat in a lot on the winter tour, and used to be a 6er, so I wonder if he might join them again?
maybe they will start pulling from their guitar-playing fan base for replacements. i for one would be in support of that.

how strange that they're going to (finally) tour Canada after they lose the Canadian member of the band.
replace is such an awful word. I don't like to think that Kyle replaced Soucy so much as he filled the void that was left in his absence. new guy's gonna have some pretty awesome shoes to fill.

Kyle's last day is the 19th. Dave "Cookie Dough" Chalfant is filling in for Kyle after that. Not sure what is happening after the Hanson tour!
as sad as it is to see Kyle leave... yay Cookie Dough!!!
