SK6 stole The RockBoat!

Yes its true! SK6ers were hands down the overall favorite of most people that were on the Rock Boat. This was my 5th Rock Boat cruise and although I was familiar with SK6 music (about 8months ago) I had never seen them live prior tp TRB. I saw all 3 shows they had on TRB and am now a true SK6ers fan. There is no doubt in my mind they are on their way up the charts. They fit right in with the concept of TRB. They were all willing to talk with anyone and were always very nice when they did. They were only band I know of that were called back for an encore by the crowd. That is something that doesn't happen on trb as most people understand the time constraints put on the artists due to back to back shows. But.....SK6's last show on the Lido deck it happened. I look forward to seeing them on the road and hopefully again on TRB next year. If you haven't been on TRB, you are missing the ultimate vacation for music lovers full of lifelong memories and fun!

SK6ERS always put on a good show, and judging by the rock boat videos it looks like they put on some awesome performances during the cruise... wish I was there, I'm jealous... Maybe next year...

Thanks for the great photos! My favorite is the one of Kit and Jon McL looking vaguely suggestive.

I have a bunch more I plan on putting up, but those are the ones I started with, cause they're probably the best. Especially the "I've Had The Time Of My Life" one, complete with the lift (of which I see you have pictures of. Awesome)

i'm in a couple of those last ones....and my friend was Boots' date.

ahh TRB was so much fun. the sixers really did steal the boat. EVERYONE was talking about them towards the end. i even overheard convos at the airport about how good they were.
i hope they decide to go back on next year even though SK & the sea don't agree with each other.

and can we talk about how Kit was playing keys on EVERY single show we walked into?? i think he was trying to take over the world. and he doesn't even need to dance to do it!

356 days til the next one!

Haha Kit did seem to be everywhere. It was great!

And Kyle was playing every night on the Promenade stage until the wee hours in the morning.

I'm sure they won't have a problem being invited back aboard next year. You're not lying when you say they stole the boat. I heard people saying (even TRB alumni) they were the best on board. I really hope that if they get invited (again, not seeing a problem here) that they do decide to go. It was amazing.

They really did steal the boat. On one of the John Mayer boards that I post on there is a TRB thread & all they could talk about was how great the Sixers were. It made me really happy for these guys. And also selfishly happy, that since they did so good, I will hopefully get the chance to actually go next year & they will be on it!

they did indeed steal the boat... everyone was talking about them. definitely the breakout band on board this year. can't wait to see them back on next year!

man. we had a blast. and kit was TOTALLY EVERYWHERE. he was either on a stage or playing poker. he didn't spend much time in his bed (probably because he had to share a room with shady who snores like crazy. haha)

don't worry. we will be back next year to blow everyone away, again.

ugh why can't I be rich?! I want to go on the Rock Boat, especially if the Sixers will be there!

Elmo's pictures are AMAZING...I love that he goes to most of the same shows as me so I can relive the night through his pictures. I don't even bother to take my camera out anymore. Why look at my own craptastic shots when I can look at Elmo's fantastic ones!

You're the tour manager, so you should get to make the swearing rules! haha!

britt - i know TRB isn't cheap, but they let you spread out the payments from now until october, which is pretty nice.

thanks, Elise! That is awesome! Unfortunately, my text books take most of my spare money now! Seriously..why do those things cost a million bucks?!
Maybe I'll be able to rock boat once I graduate and get a "real" job.
