SK’s Birthday Bash in NYC and other reasons why SK6ERS 1st Annual Thanksgiving Show is one not to miss:

To all my friends in the SK6ERS community…I wanted to write to you on behalf of myself and the guys to extend the invitation to please join us for SK’s (talking about myself in the third person) birthday party in New York City on Saturday, November 24th. We will be performing at the legendary Bowery Ballroom and to put it plainly it’s gonna be an event. It’s a big birthday, my favorite weekend of the year and the greatest city in the United States. In many ways it’s also the finale to the first 5 years of this musical journey. The Dirty Ol’ Tour has been amazing thus far with highlights in Los Angeles, Nashville, Boston, Chicago and West Virginia, but in New York City the band will give you two hours of everything we’ve got. To all those who visit us that night we will be giving you birthday gifts! We’ll be distributing a CD single of a new song called “Satisfied Man” as well as debuting our SK6ERS holiday calendar which 100% of the profits will be going to benefit the St. Jude Children’s Hospital. Opening the show we are honored to have Rich Price (co-author of “Start the Day Early”) and Pete Francis (of Dispatch). For you night owls there will be an after party and a good level of general mayhem. We hope to see you there to celebrate all that there is to be thankful for.

Xoxoxo- Stephen (w/ affections from Goose and Boots as well)

I'm bummed that I'm going to have to miss this! Sounds like it should be a good show but since I live in Chicago and have family flying in that weekend, it's just not gonna happen for me. (Sad thing is, when I heard about it first thing I did was check out flights!)

Is there a line for obtaining stolen-friends' copies of the Satisfied Man cd? Because if there is, I would like to get in line.

This will be my first Kellogg show! Any tips on what to expect? And whats the gender ratio at SK shows, cause it feels like its all chicks on the boards.

I have no idea why this matters, but lots of guys are at the shows. I guess you could say there are a little more females than males. As for it being "all chicks" on the boards - last time I checked birds didn't know how to use computers. Soucy might need to come back and let me know if this is accurate or not, since he definitely knows more about birds than I do.

There are many great guys on this board.

you can expect to see a huge mosh pit, pyro and stage effects that would make gwar proud, and lots and lots of nudity. they might as well call themselves the 'full frontal sixers.'

in all seriousness, if you dig the music, the live show will make you like it even more. it's a concert - expect to be entertained.

and here's to increasing the manliness quota on the board...

Hey, everyone! I have VIP tkts for the NYC date on Saturday, but have no idea what time the pre-show starts. Sent an email to Jessica, but with the holiday, I'm sure she is busy and I haven't heard back. Anyone have the info? I'd appreciate it if you could share. See you on Saturday : )

still curious about this afterparty thing. Hotel party? Or a small get together in Ron?

If anyone has extra tickets I need some. I was supposed to be out of town tonight, but those plans fell thru. Now, that I can actually go to the show tonight I come to find out that it's sold out. I'm bummed.

I need 2 or possibly 3 tickets. Please email me if you have extra tickets.

Definitely the best show I've seen in my life. Four encores and a great crowd other than the idiot who yelled out "F*** your father-in-law". Over two hours and seemed like every song anyone could want to hear with the regular SK comedy mixed in.

No complaints at all other than the ridiculous coat check and that one person working made everyone have to wait a half hour for their coats.
