Just checked the tour page, and it looks like they are playing the SXSW festival in March.

Ooh I might have to find a way to get to that! I know my friends are going, and I've been meaning to go the past few years. This just give me more of a reason to. :)

I MUST find a way to get to that. Forget that it's either the week before or the week of finals for Winter Term. Music is so much more important!

what's the age limit on most of the venues that participate? i'm assuming there is one, which sucks - it's the week before my birthday, and i'd live to see them. too bad it's not the week OF my birthday!

The venues are all basically bars, so you have to be 21 to get into almost everything. The only venue I know for sure last year that was all ages was La Zona Rosa, because there were a bunch of high school kids there.

While there are parts of SXSW that are very strict about who can come, where, when...me and some friends went a few years ago (none of us were 21 or had any kind of wristband/badge) and easily got into a bunch of other things going on in Austin that were completely worth it. It kind of just depends on the places...

I'd be there if I wasn't going to be out of the country already! I think a pre-SXSW show is definitely in order the week before :D

I swear there is always a reason why I can't go to this. This year's excuse: I'm going on a cruise with seven women who are turning 50. They needed an eighth person to fill out the second suite, and I apparently needed a reason to miss sxsw.

As long as you meet the age requirements (if there are any) and send an e-mail ahead of time, you should be on the list. It's a pretty common occurrence at SXSW.

Stumbled upon this on the ole youtube machine. It's quite a nice little video of the Sixers.

I decided to watch that video when my roommate was sleeping which was not a good idea. I was laughing so hard I woke her up. I swear I love Boots and his "Mando"
