I just saw him last night for the first time and OH MY GOSH it was AMAZING! This guy has one of the most gorgeous and unique voices. He's one of those that crushes your heart into a billion tiny pieces, and then one by one puts it back together with his lyrics. I actually met him before the show and he is one of the most meek, humble, shy artists I've ever met. If you get the chance to see him, don't pass up the opportunity.
I'm hoping to see him at least once when he comes to Oregon this fall.... I've been a fan for a while, he's amazing!

Jen, he's sooo wonderful. And tip: If you meet him, don't ask for a photo. He's afraid of cameras, and people too it seemed . He did Jolene as the last song of the night, which by that time I didn't think I was going to get to hear it, and it brought a tear to my eye! He also did All the Wild Horses, and I've NEVER heard a venue so quiet, ever. What a captivating man!
Have you guys checked out his new album yet? He wrote what is pretty much a love song for Meg White (of the White Stripes) and the crazy thing is, he actually called it "Meg White"! That and he referenced Jack twice and talked about how she plays the drums... so there's definitely no mistaking it for someone else I'm shocked that he, of all people, would put himself out there like that... awesome though.

I LOVE 'Meg White' The whistling at the beginning gets me everytime. It's just such a funky song and not really what you're used to hearing from Ray, and I love that about this one. I don't know that it's a love song so much as a song of admiration for her. I'm pretty sure he's married and has kids. And we all have to admit that Meg White is indeed "alright" . The album (Gossip in the Grain) is great, go get it, all of you!
