WELL, I'll start the first thread in here. I was driving home from work today and realized that I haven't discovered anything fun and new in months....any suggestions? New artists you're listening to?

he may not be new but he's new to me, his name is eliot morris. pretty good so far, i'm just starting to listen to the album, "what's mine is yours". also, emerson hart's new solo album is pretty good, if you like tonic.

he's not new by any stretch of the imagination but i'm shocked how many people have never heard of jeffrey gaines. his first two albums, jeffrey gaines and somewhat slightly dazed remain two of my favorite albums to date. check him out if you haven't heard his stuff.

Well I feel like I should represent and suggest some Australian bands that I love. Thirsty Merc and Evermore are pretty popular here but im not sure if anyone in U.S.A has heard of them. Im also a big Pete Murray fan and for something with a bit more rock i would suggest Eskimo Joe or Grinspoon! Hope thats some stuff thats a bit different for you guys!

He's having his cd release party at Bill's Bar on Landsdown August 16th. Really great guy with some pretty awesome music. *Sand in my sheets is my favorite right now

Also check out the Tony Roberts Band. Great bluesy rock sound and another great guy as well.

This guy is out of San Francisco, originally St. Louis. He's awesome, kind of mellow, but I think you all will like it.

I've done a really bad job of checking out these artists you all have suggested BUT i did get into someone on my own...

Brandi Carlile, I have no idea how well-known she is, if at all. Anyone familiar? I heard her on a college station and recognized the song, I think it's in Grey's Anatomy.

I think it's already been said but the Alternate Routes are definately worth mentioning again. Damien Rice was just recommended to me and I would recommend his album "O" to all of you.

Elise- Yay, I'm glad you like Brett! As long as he doesn't interfere with some tbese other boys I want to see, I'll definitely be there too. Also, if possible, I feel we must go see Yo Momma's Big Fat Booty Band, just for their name alone.

    I miss Michael. :(
Currently, according to iTunes, my most recent music has been: Josh Kelley, Matt Nathanson (Some Mad Hope EP) Keaton Simons, Tony Lucca (Live in Hollywood cd), Josh Ritter (Temptations of Adam), and Better than Ezra (Artifakt) Amos Lee, Ray Lamontagne and Damien Rice random live recordings. Jon McLaughlin (Anthem for American Teenagers is my favorite...reminds me of Rant. Which is a great book.) Keane (Live from London)
