Hey, you're the one that said hi to me? I always feel a little crappy after wards because I'm afraid people might think I'm blowing them off, but I'm just socially handicapped.

Melissa...did one of you have dark hair w/ a plaid scarf?

Megan - no worries! It has taken a lot for me to be able to go up to strangers like that. Sorry if i put you on the spot!

My pics aren't nearly as admirable as Megan's but this one was fun...

Oh no, I love it when people come up and say they like my work, makes me feel special. Is that what I missed being late? We got sooo lost, and locked in the freaking sky walk once. We have problems.

Ha, if you like that one...the following is from before the show started...they were clearly waiting in the hallway.

    Peek-a-boo, creepy.

Ugh...for some reason it won't let me post this picture...I'll have to do it when I get home from work.

And my friend and I had a seriously hard time finding the place. What kind of college campus was that? I think I saw six students...gathered around a computer in the commons, and who couldn't tell us where Charlie's Pub was. There are less than ten buildings on campus, how do they not know them all?

What song did you come in during?

I don't remember, but people were still standing far away all creeped out.
I'm done with college shows... impossible to find stuff. I saw Tyrone Wells last year at three college shows and two were IMPOSSIBLE to find, and one was only easy because it's my mom's home town (and she still works there too) and is it just me, or do all college campuses kind of look the same? Minus Wesleyan in Bloomington, IL, that one is pretty cool.

We stopped a student walking around who knew where it was though, but...we still got lost...

Laura, yep that was me in the headband!

I forgot my camera (which has to be a sin when going to a Sk6ers show!), but once I get copies of my friend's pictures I'll put them up. I took one on my friend's camera of SK that's adorable.

It was a weird show...people definately hung back and didn't seem to know their songs much. But, I was fine with being in the front and being able to sing along. I just love how the guys are cool with going from the Rock Boat to something like that and still putting on an awesome show.

Yeah, Illinois Wesleyen is a neat campus. I have a friend who went there and I visited a lot.

But...not that I'm BIASED or anything...but when we had the Sixers play at Loyola a couple years ago, they were out on the lawn and very visible, it was a lot of fun.

yeah..i even had a gps device and it still was having difficulty trying to find the campus, and I asked a student where charlie's was once we were finally on "campus", and she had no clue. I also got lost and ended up in that tunnel where it said bandmembers only. I walked in during what I believe was the end of Maria, so I don't know if I missed anything before that. Overall, always a great show though. Had a blast. The Mrs. got sick the night before, so I brought my two younger brothers to their first sixers show, and they had a blast.

It was weird that nobody was near the stage when I walked in. It reminded me of the lake forest college show last fall. Nobody approached the stage the entire show by a good 15-20 feet. It was very weird. At one point Stephen jumped off the stage and pretended to give high fives to the non-existent people in the front row.

if you came in during maria, you just missed a graet cat stevens intro into sophia. maria was after that.

ooh i love the cat stevens intro.
but i always seem to be the only one to know what it is!
i guess it helps that one of my favorite movies is Harold & Maude.

there was this one show in providence a couple years ago where there was no one near the stage and it left a pretty nice dance floor....which prompted a dance party.
and this was all before Kit started dancing....actually, it may have been where it all began. so we can actually blame the awkwardness of people for tearing Kit's ACL.
