sk6ers apparently have this... ability... to take someone like myself, a huge hanson fan, and be able to turn her into a huge sk6 fan and have her willingly say "i dont even care if hanson tour, ill see them in trb in january and i can totally wait til then" while also saying "i know im seeing sk6 on trb, but i need to see them 5000 times before then too."

also, ive always said hanson were pretty much the only band id travel for (and i have a few times lol)... but now i know id definitely travel for sk6 a whole lot (if i could right now, of course).

i really am quite shocked. this is probably not the case for most hanson fans, but im really starting to think sk6 is my new favorite. fun? i think so.

    Freaky, isn't it?

I actually told my mom yesterday that if Hanson doesn't have their dates up by Friday, then I'm going to go ahead and get my SK6ers tickets. But even if Hanson does put up dates this week, my heart is already set on going to see The Sixers on certain days... So, if Hanson happens to be in town at the same time (which is likely), oops. I'll have to catch up with them somewhere else.

Same here. I am/was a diehard O.A.R. fan. Still am but they used to be my #1 favorite band. Now, I'm scared to admit I think SK6ers have become my #1. It shocks a lot of people haha. I never traveled for O.A.R. and now I am planning on traveling all over for SK6ers...

me too. i was and still am a diehard fan for OAR and i still am crazy enough to pay a rediculous amount of money to see them front row at the tweeter center .. but ever since i saw the sixers open up for OAR last august they have become my number one favorite band. i've traveled a lot these past couple months to see the sixers and i will keep on doing it! I LOVE THEM!!!

and like, ive wanted hanson to come to vancouver for the longest time, but now that theres a chance they might come to calgary and edmonton along with vancouver, im kinda thinking i might skip vancouver just so i can afford to go to 4 sixers shows in the northwest (like 13 hrs from me). i mean, to go to calgary and edmonton would be CHEAP so i could manage both those trips i am sure... but not if i did vancouver for hanson, too. so yeah.

I saw Stephen for the first time almost six years ago, but it was seeing the Sixers open for Hanson that really got me hooked too. I think it's just seeing them live first, seeing that energy and that awesome vibe they have, you can't help but love it. They were one of the only opening bands I've ever seen where I wasn't just like "alright, can we get to the main act already?" They put on a great show that gets you pumped for the next act, but also makes you really love them in the process.

yeah, first opening band i saw with hanson where i REALLY felt like "eh, i could go home now and id be happy" after they were done. of course i was still excited for hanson, but after every other opening band despite if i liked them or not, i was always still anticipating hanson during their whole set. not sixers. i forgot about hanson during their sets.

and ive been a "fan" of sixers for awhile- at least a couple of years... but i didnt really become a fan like i am now until i saw them live with hanson, and then once when they opened for george thorogood. i was just hooked after those 4 shows.

I saw them for the first time in 2006, and like everybody said, I was hooked. I saw them back to back in Chicago and Milwaukee. I was lucky that somebody taped that Milwaukee show, as that is one of my fav live cd's of all time. I think it is the energy and effort that they put into every show, which is what "hooks" everybody. They just have fun on stage, and that comes through on the live versions of the songs. Throw in the stories/banter between songs that help you to understand/relate to a song (and usually crack you up), and all of that combined is what makes going to sixers concerts so much fun.

I forgot to include that like flowerinrain, I saw them open for O.A.R.. To be honest, I saw they were opening and was a little annoyed with it. I had only heard a few songs and hated them. Then I saw them live, bought their CD, listened to "4th of July" and was hooked and now I have a tattoo for them haha.

For a lot of opening acts, this is true. But with The Sixers, I really didn't care if Hanson ever went on stage. Haha.

like i said, ive known about them for awhile but i didnt start to really listen to them ALOT until earlier this year...probably a couple months before i saw hanson on tour and knew they were opening. when you never see a band live and doubt youll ever see them, its hard to get into them. so when i finallyyyyyyyyyyyy was going to see sixers, i was excited... and thats when i started to buy albums (i bought glassjaw last summer but the rest i bought just this year) and REALLY fell in love with 4th of july and a couple others... lol.
