Haha. I've been doing the same thing with Hanson... but rumor has it that The Sixers are about to open for Hanson, so I guess this is like a packaged deal.

Yea, I'm not totally crazy about the idea. I mean, for me it's great... my two favorite bands on one stage. What more could I ask for? But some Hanson fans are a wee bit crazy and would probably scare the Sixers. ::nods::

I just can't see it happening. What if Hanson fans are big Hollister-shoppers? It would be doomed from the start.

It would be cool if they played with Speechwriters or Matt Nathanson. Or Dave Barnes!

Hahaha... Well, I personally don't shop at Hollister, or any name brand clothing store. So I'm on Stephen's side there! Hanson fans in general are a bit preppy and probably Hollister supporters. And there will be pushing, shoving, screaming, and hair-pulling among the Hanson fans, so if this tour does happen, I'd advise the SK6ers fans to stay in the back and they should survive the experience.

FIRST of all, isn't this whole convo in another thread? ;)

second of all, remember....hanson was huge over 10 years ago. i was under the impression that their fanbase is a bit older than teeny boppers because they were teeny boppers ten years ago and now...twenties boppers? so maybe it wont be too crazy?

Stephen told me that they're opening for Hanson starting in March. He didn't know any cities yet, but said it would probably be for 3-6 weeks.

The lack of dates is driving me crazy too. I have gotten used to seeing them monthly (or multiple times a month) haha.

i need a sixers headlining show before they can tour with hanson. with how rarely they come around texas, though, i dont see it happening. eh, guess i'll be seeing hanson...hopefully.

Damn, that's bad news. Hope they know what they are getting themselves into.....

I REALLY hope they do some headliner shows before they go out with them, too.

I would love to see my two favorite bands share a stage but Hanson fans in general (with VERY few exceptions) tend to be rude during slow, quiet songs and pushy (literally and figuratively) and I would hate for the guys to deal with them...especially the idiotic girls who ask Taylor and Zac to marry them and have Ike take his shirt off....stupid. The dream would be have all the Sixer fans in the venue first and hear them play and then bring the Hanson herd in...but having SK and Hanson together would be cool...I can only imagine the pranks that will be pulled...

I didn't know it was possible to simultaneously throw up a little in one's mouth and cry at the same time, but I just did when I saw "Sixers" and "Hanson" in the same sentence. I feel that Boots would have the same problem he does with squirrels if he were to see so many blonde, married, producing-babies-so-People-magazine-will-write-about-them-type men.

I'll seriously leave after the opening set if this happens. Then I'll go home and cry/throw up some more, and perhaps revive the anti-Hanson website that I had in 1996. That, last I knew, was the last time anyone really paid attention to Hanson.

LMAO I love this thread. I hope the Sixers never see it. How sad would that be?

Funny, when I saw the name Ingram Hill I didn't remember any of their music or anything, just that they were all smokin' hot.

haha ooohhkay guys haha and Lauren I'm not sure if you're serious or not but I'll take it as serious ;) haha
But yeah I have mixed emotions with this new tour. I hope that the guys will come out and say hi before Hanson goes onstage because if they try to do that after the show it will be absolute insanity..plus Chicago HOB security sucks (I assume they're playing there). I'm nervous that the other fans won't be quiet during songs and be respectful

I hear ya there with the dick security guards. During O.A.R.'s fall tour, i saw them 5 times within a month 8) but the secuity guards at UMASS and UNH were complete jerks. They where giving us shit about cameras and the ritual of goin to the bands buses after the show...thats why i love Sixers and Matt Nathanson shows, they come out and bullshit afterwards no matter what!
