I'll be there as well. I am def pumped for this show.

I think this fest will be much better than the Randolph fest last year, and not just beacause they are the headliners this year. I think this show will be great because it is in the heart of Lincoln Park, which is basically a concentrated mass quantity of 20-somethings (I would say their key demographic) living in the same area looking to have a good time. Especially during the summer, Lincoln Park is an area where it is just the place to be with all the bars/fests/activities in the area. The concert/fest could not have been scheduled on a better day, as the area will already be packed and alive from the excitement of the Cubs vs Sox at Wrigley earlier in the day (Wrigley is 5 min from the fest). Plus the concert is basically in the backyard of where I went to college, DePaul (I know I am dating myself), so that alone makes the concert for me. Finally, with playing two shows in the Lincoln Park vicinity since Randolph fest (Park West & Beat Kitchen), they already have the exposure in the area for the casual/new fans. I think all of it together has the makings for a big day for the Sixers in Chicago.

I might be in town for my sister's grad party, but I haven't decided yet. If so, I might make it.

I was just watching the weather channel and the rain is expected to go away around 3:00pm. Not looking forward to going to the city alone however. Just hope it's in a decent neighborhood.

It was a great show. The weather cleared up and it wasn't too hot. Boots and kit were on stage for a while hour trying to set up, so I thought that sound was going to be a problem all night. It wasn't they sounded great. They played a version of vegas that was awesome...it very folky...btw it was the the first version of that song that I actually liked. They played why don't love me like which was fantastic(I was the only one singing along) lol. SK had a good intro to that one it was very funny. They played glassjaw boxer which sk got the verses mixed up but it worked out. The crowd was really into the show which sk seemed really excited about. There was a lot of singing along...which was fun. Oh, and start the day early was amazing too...lots of harmonica. Overall it was a fantastic show the guys were really into it( except boots while trying to lead us in coreography during big easy...clearley he has yet to embrass his role) lol.

They're coming back in October for two back to back nights during their 5 yrs touring tour. Yay for that. Not to mention the zoo gig coming next month. Good times coming up for us Chicago 6er fans.

This concert was incredible! As a newer SK fan...it was my first! Seeing them in such an intimate setting as this blew me away! Setlist was top notch....and I totally agree about Vegas....the version that was played was crazy! Anyone know if it was taped?

Shows in Chicago aren't usually taped.
