So another year of SK6 Fandom is drawing to a close. I know that we're all from places all over the map and I wanted to see what made people's BEST of lists for the year:

    1) FAVORITE SHOW/VENUE:
    2) FAVORITE SONG/PERFORMANCE:
    3) FAVORITE SK6 ANECDOTE:
    4) HOW MANY SHOWS DID YOU MAKE IT TO:
    5) IF YOU COULD SEE THEM PLAY ANYWHERE (that they didn't make it to this year) IN 2008:

I've got so many to choose from I need to think on this a little bit...

first of all, i just want to say that this was a lame year for me and the sixers. too much other stuff going on for me made it hard for me to get to shows.
    BUT
    1) I don't really like Avalon but the show on 4/6 with Matt Wertz was probably my fave of the year. Or SK's birthday bash at the Bowery
    2) glassjaw boxer off-mic in the crowd at the Bowery/ Satisfied Man
    3) i have a terrible memory
    4) 5. it will be 6 by 2008. LAME
    5) THE ROCK BOAT. it will be AWESOME. also, i wanna make it to chicago in '08

    1) 10/26 at the TLA in Philly
    2) When they did See You Later, See You Soon right in front of me, and in March SK did a Maria that brought tears to my eyes. New Flower in Rain, Sweetest Goodbye, and Fourth of July.
    3) Kit getting tackled. Oh, and definitely the TLA show when the Sixers came on stage and everyone kicked out their chairs and ran up to a moderately touched SK. Who puts chairs at a Sixers show? Also, talking to Kyle about Neti Pots and Oprah. Alternate lyrics to Milwaukee.
    4) 3, 4 by the end of the year
    5) I'd like to see them play at Jammin' Java, which I'm sure they did, I just never witnessed it.

    1) FAVORITE SHOW/VENUE: 4/14 Chicago show or the 10/14 Urbana show... not because of the venue though because the hob suuuucks but because they were an experience...ahah
    2) FAVORITE SONG/PERFORMANCE: Hearts in Pain in Chicago or Cabin in the Woods in Champaign
    3) FAVORITE SK6 ANECDOTE: Kyle: "Fine, don't accept my hug." Boots: "Oh, Megan doesn't do hugs... hugs are out anyway." -they agree- "But she does do high fives, right Megan?" -high fives-
(also the Tyrone Wells anecdote of that shows pretty funny too so the Urbana show wins favorite show. And the fact that it was my third Sixers show in three days...)
    4) HOW MANY SHOWS DID YOU MAKE IT TO: 6.
    5) IF YOU COULD SEE THEM PLAY ANYWHERE (that they didn't make it to this year) IN 2008: Bloomington? Don't know.

    1) Music Mill, Indianapolis 11.9.2007
    2) Either Pedal Steel or when Stephen read the lyrics to The Way She Is at the Chicago/Park West VIP Set on 10.12.2007--Although I must say that one of my other favorites was hearing "Satisfied Man" for the first time at the Music Mill on 2.10.07
3.) I'm getting older, and my memory is fading. Maybe nearly getting whacked in the head by a guitar at the Chicago VIP set.
    4) Indy x3 Chicago x2 Vienna (NYE) x1 = 6
    5) hmm. Maybe Schuba's again like they did in 10.06?

1)Park West in Chicago on 10/12/2007
2)Either Pedal Steel or Hurt and Heart during the VIP set in Ann Arbor
3)When I was onstage with SK in Indy and he was talking about the most random stuff. ex: "so you were onstage in Chicago too huh? That's cool. That's never happened before. So I have these things in my ears tonight. I don't usually have them in but tonight I do. They're kinda cool. I think I like having these things in my ears" and so on.... It was pretty funny stuff!
4)NYE will make five for me this year
5)I agree with the person who said The Rock Boat. I am so excited to be going on the cruise and I'm super pumped to get to see them onboard!!

    3) FAVORITE SK6 ANECDOTE: Hearing about the superhero Ballgag

seeing as sixers shows in dallas aren't exactly regular occurances, my choices are a little limited, but here goes:

    1) FAVORITE SHOW/VENUE: i have different answers. i miss gypsy tea room, but this past show at house of blues definitely wins for favorite show. yeah, i know i only had three to choose from. it's okay.
    2) FAVORITE SONG/PERFORMANCE: song for sarah. in front of the world or satisfied man follows closely behind. and flower in rain. god, i suck at this.
    3) FAVORITE SK6 ANECDOTE: i suck at remembering funny things. maybe because at sk6 shows i'm off in my own personal heaven or something.
    4) HOW MANY SHOWS DID YOU MAKE IT TO: three. texas sucks. it's too big.
    5) IF YOU COULD SEE THEM PLAY ANYWHERE (that they didn't make it to this year) IN 2008: um, here. more, please.

    1) FAVORITE SHOW/VENUE: Hmm... I think Oct. 11 at the Varsity in Minneapolis was my favorite this year.
    2) FAVORITE SONG/PERFORMANCE: YOU WIN at the already mentioned show.
    3) FAVORITE SK6 ANECDOTE: I really wish I remembered more. At Borders, "I'm truly a baby fan...I'm also pretty good at making them" was memorable. Hahah.
    4) HOW MANY SHOWS DID YOU MAKE IT TO: 7
    5) IF YOU COULD SEE THEM PLAY ANYWHERE (that they didn't make it to this year) IN 2008: Anywhere in the midwest. :)

    3) FAVORITE SK6 ANECDOTE: I was Kit's first date ever! The first thing he said to me when he pulled me onstage (after giving me a hug :D ) "Wow you smell nice" haha and then "You're so cute!"....He was so awesome at making me feel comfortable telling the audience my first kiss was at Bible Camp...so thanks Kit you're the best!
    4) HOW MANY SHOWS DID YOU MAKE IT TO: 3...pathedic I know but I had school and work :(
    5) IF YOU COULD SEE THEM PLAY ANYWHERE (that they didn't make it to this year) IN 2008: Schubas again...although nothing really beats HOB

    1) FAVORITE SHOW/VENUE:my favorite shows were the Workplay in Brimingham AL 11/1 and Tupelo on black friday. both those setlists included all my favorite songs and there is nothing like being one of the only 5 people standing in front of the stage for half the set in AL.
    2) FAVORITE SONG/PERFORMANCE: Favorite songs were Cabin in the Woods and Bound For New York
    3) FAVORITE SK6 ANECDOTE: in tn they gave away a grill to the person with the best first kiss story, when one of the girls admitted to having never been kissed sk goes "well if you've never been kissed you might as well have barbaque" and him calling his wife for his anniversary was so sweet.
    4) HOW MANY SHOWS DID YOU MAKE IT TO: 12 and either 15 or 16 by the end of the year.
    5) IF YOU COULD SEE THEM PLAY ANYWHERE (that they didn't make it to this year) IN 2008: I would love to add more states to the shows i have seen, so a show in any state that i have yet to see a sixer show in

    2007 was amazing!

    1) FAVORITE SHOW/VENUE: Oct 11 @ the Varsity...and the 13th @ High Noon. And also the 11th at Borders. And the 14th at Borders. Basically the whole weekend.
    2) FAVORITE SONG/PERFORMANCE: You Win was pretty sweet. So was Glassjaw Boxer in June. And 'The Way She Is' which I requested at Chicago VIP...with the not knowing the words and sending Jess for a songbook mid-song.
    3) FAVORITE SK6 ANECDOTE: SK making fun of the guy rocking out at Borders on the 14th and him remaining completely oblivious. Also, the mayor of Appleton declaring it Sixers Day. Oh, and that creepy guy that gave him a dollar at the Borders in Madison. That was the best.
    4) HOW MANY SHOWS DID YOU MAKE IT TO: 15 by the end of the year (WTF?)
    5) IF YOU COULD SEE THEM PLAY ANYWHERE (that they didn't make it to this year) IN 2008: Canberra, Australia ;) Also, Schuba's would be nice. And never ever again at the House of Blues would be amazing too.

PS- Elise, you should def come to Chicago, but not while I am in Australia ;)

    1) FAVORITE SHOW/VENUE: Definitely the show in Cave Creek, Arizona...2/25/07...Cave Creek Coffee is this amazing small coffee shop with this great stage in the "back yard" and little lights strung up everywhere....it's so quaint and cozy. And I went to the show alone b/c my friends were going with me to the Tucson show a few days later instead, sold merch and had beers with them afterwards. So fun.

    2) FAVORITE SONG/PERFORMANCE: Absolutely 4th of July in the basement of the Fox Theatre in Boulder, CO...4/19/07... Solo acoustic performance from SK for my frends and I....def the worst day of the year but the best song of the year.

    3) FAVORITE SK6 ANECDOTE: Ahh I don't know where to start....probably my most recent show, a few weeks ago in STL. 11/8/07? My sister and friends had all left except for Roommate and I and we hung around backstage with the guys for about an hour and a half....Boots wanted to try on my roommate's shoes....kind of weird. But a lot of fun. And SK showed us pics of his daughters, SO CUTE!!! AHHHH!!! Seriously, the most beautiful little girls you've ever seen.

    4) HOW MANY SHOWS DID YOU MAKE IT TO: Oh my god...only 4!!!! That is so sad...but I was sick for a long time and just wasn't able to make a lot of shows. Plus I went abroad during a great Midwest run so I missed all those shows...oh well. Better luck next year.

    5) IF YOU COULD SEE THEM PLAY ANYWHERE (that they didn't make it to this year) IN 2008: Hmm....they play everywhre! Next year I'd like to experience them on th East Coast at least once, because I haven't yet, but I'd also like to hit up an Arizona show again because it's so fun seeing them at smaller venues too. Just pour on the midwest shows because I'm back and ready for a Sixers-filled year. :)

I FORGOT ABOUT SIXERS DAY. I am the worst fan ever. I'll go watch the video of it to make myself feel better. :) That was definitely one of my favorite Sixers moments this year...also the strangest, considering I felt like I was crashing a party I was not invited to during that show. hahahah.

    1) FAVORITE SHOW/VENUE: Even though it was from 2006, the two night stint of Schuba's and coincidently the next night at the Rave introduced me to the sixers, and I was hooked from then on. I will still listen to the Rave show at least 2-3 times a week. For 2007, the whole VIP/Regular show at the Park West (w/ pedal steel (VIP) & 4th of July/Hearts in Pain being highlights).

    2) FAVORITE SONG/PERFORMANCE: Even though I wasn't able to make it to the bowery show w/ the glassjaw closer, it was still pretty cool when the guys did the same thing with see you later, see you soon at the urbana show.

    3) FAVORITE SK6 ANECDOTE: something along the lines of..."Wow, I didn't realize the men's lacrosse team car wash was such a huge draw in this town." (From the Lake Forest College Show). I def crashed that show on the campus, and def felt out of place. However, I did get to see Kit streak across the entire Quad during thirteen, which made it worth it and another top moment during 2007.

    4) HOW MANY SHOWS DID YOU MAKE IT TO: 7 Full Band (8 if count Chicago VIP Show) and 1 Stephen Acoustic Show.

    5) IF YOU COULD SEE THEM PLAY ANYWHERE (that they didn't make it to this year) IN 2008: Any of the traditional great chi-town venues (return to schuba's, the riv, or the vic), def no to the HOB, but my one pick for 2008 would have to be the Aragon!!!!

    4) HOW MANY SHOWS DID YOU MAKE IT TO: 3 :( He doesn't ever come to the midwest, at least when I am here
    5) IF YOU COULD SEE THEM PLAY ANYWHERE (that they didn't make it to this year) IN 2008: At St. Thomas (My college) They played there a few years ago, it would be a dream come true if they came back

    2) FAVORITE SONG/PERFORMANCE: Take Me Into Town in the backyard at the rep party in Cambridge, MA.

    5) IF YOU COULD SEE THEM PLAY ANYWHERE (that they didn't make it to this year) IN 2008: town ballroom was a pretty amazing place to see them play in 06, but id love it if they could come to club infinity in buffalo, i think thats an adorable place to have shows at

    1) FAVORITE SHOW/VENUE: The Music Mill, 11/9 in Indy (my first, not last 6er show)
    2) FAVORITE SONG/PERFORMANCE: Milwaukee from the Rochester show -- "Why is Boots afraid of squirrels? I've never seen a squirrel approach a man." bwahaha and I love that I can hear the Goose crack up when SK asks "Why do I buy too many DVDs?"
    3) FAVORITE SK6 ANECDOTE: Loosing a bet to Kit. He bet me $1 million that Ryan Adams was not clean and sober. I begged to differ. I am right, but apparently, nicotine is still a drug, whoop-de-do.
    4) HOW MANY SHOWS DID YOU MAKE IT TO: solamente uno, but watch out 2008
    5) IF YOU COULD SEE THEM PLAY ANYWHERE (that they didn't make it to this year) IN 2008: The Lafayette Theatre in Lafayette, IN would be AMAZING!!

I've been looking at this posts for weeks now, trying to come up with just the right answer. But it's pretty impossible to have just one answer for each of them. So here goes my fairly long reply.

    1) FAVORITE SHOW/VENUE: Well, my favorite venue that they've played at is World Cafe Live. But I was still a fairly new fan then, so I was still learning the song. So my favorite show would probably have to be in Philly at the TLA in October. By then, I was on the up and up with the Sixers.

    2) FAVORITE SONG/PERFORMANCE: Okay, I'm going to do this by show. Because like I said... you want me to pick just one?! That's insanity.

      World Cafe Live
: "Milwaukee". I had never heard this song, and at the time, I was going through a really tough time getting over my ex-boyfriend. But when Stephen sang, "and if I acted like a dick, it didn't mean I didn't care...", it just made me smile. Plus, they did it acoustic in the middle of the audience. I was up in the balcony, but they were right below me. It was great.
      Borders (Philadelphia)
: This whole performance was hilarious. I can recall so many funny quotes from it. But my favorite part was probably when they did "Big Easy"... Stephen saying how they did it with Madonna's choreographer, threatening to kick Kyle out of the band, Stephen having to stand up on the podium and dance because Kyle couldn't motivate the crowd... so funny.

    3) FAVORITE SK6 ANECDOTE: Again, a hundred come to mind. But I'm gonna have to go with all the Sixers performing in their underwear due to Goose not being able to dance. Luckily, I caught the whole thing on video. I'd never want to forget that.

    4) HOW MANY SHOWS DID YOU MAKE IT TO: Three, plus the Border's appearance. But if they really do tour with Hanson in 2008... it's scary to think about how many shows I'll be going to. Haha.

    5) IF YOU COULD SEE THEM PLAY ANYWHERE (that they didn't make it to this year) IN 2008: They made it to World Cafe Live in 2007, but I definitely want to keep seeing them there.

oh this is fun: let me see what i can think of...

    show: bowery in nyc.
song: satisfied man 9:30 club OR glassjaw boxer at the bowery.
banter: i fucking love whenever stephen made trevor jackson sing a song...
    # of shows: all but 2 fly dates at colleges ( i was driving our gear across the country with shady)
in 2008: The Calvin Theater in Northampton, but we will be playing there on 4/23.

    i think that's it.

OH- but one of my favorite moments of the year was the very very very beginning of the show at the Bluebird Theater in Denver, CO. It was our first crack at our new intro, and our first time with the vulture paintings. the red lights on the stage looked so fucking cool. and i LOVED when they opened with Sweet Sophia and people went nuts and sang every word. I was standing right on the side of the stage and that was probably one of my top 5 proudest moments as a tour manager.
