such a great show. glad i made the trip for it.
i was a little skeptical about the 16+ thing but the crowd was actually better than most 18+ crowds i've been around.
    BUT
THEY RAN OUT OF SATISFIED MAN CDs.
they were giving them out after the show and by the time i made it to the merch table, they were GONE. i think i died a little inside. i really hope someone on here got one to share with us.
the setlist was a good one. they played a mix of old & new. they danced in their underpants for thirteen which is always leaves me smiling. haha
not sure what the deal was with 5 encores...but i'm not complaining. they came out to the crowd and did glassjaw boxer after we sang happy birthday to stephen. i was pretty close and have a decent video of it but i ruined it with my awful singing.
and as for an afterparty....boots & kit stuck around to chat but stephen and kyle must've been having a private party because they were nowhere to be found.
boots told me that was the best NYC show they've ever had so i'm glad i was there.

oh and i bought the calendar....$25 is a little pricey but all the proceeds go to st. jude so i'm okay with that. there's some really good pictures in it. "the lift" one that megan baker did, one from their skydiving experience...

elmo - some great shots you got there! i especially like the one where stephen is doing the robot? haha. nice moves.

sara - it was great to meet you! somehow i lost you towards the end of the show but hopefully you found your friends in that crazy city!

First SK show and I loved it! An awesome show and exceeded my expectations!

I managed to get the CD, which literally is a burned disc with the bands autographs. It has two live tracks, as below.

    Satisfied Man
    Wagon Wheel

I'm also phone-interviewing Stephen about the show and band in general on Friday, if anyone has any question-suggestions I'd love to hear them. This could probably merit a thread of it's own but I'll leave it here for now.

EDIT: Also, does anyone know if this show was taped?

Sounds/looks like an GREAT time. Wish I could have been there. Thanks for sharing your pictures, elmo!

liveitup - thanks so much for sharing the audio files. Can't wait to hear them. Hrm... I'll have to think about the questions for the interview. That's cool you get to interview him, should be very interesting.

Hey LiveitUp I have a question that I've been dying to ask k here goes:
A lot of the new songs are full of emotion so is it difficult to play those songs (ie:Satisfied Man, 4th of July) onstage? Do those songs take you back to the time when those were written and/or when does it become easier to play (if ever)?

thanks for uploading the songs! you're fabulous!

    as far as questions go...
ask where "sixers" came from. ;) no don't. they won't answer like usual. rude. just kidding.

Haha I already had that question written down, one of my friends wanted to know. They're not gonna answer? Oh well, I'll test my luck :)

yeah, i can't think of anything either. i guess cause they always just answer everything when you meet them at shows. lol.

i'll give it some more thought, though.

Are they currently auditioning for a new guitar player? Do they even audition, or just hire someone they know? How long WILL Kyle be around?

I third this request....but maybe we could make it madison instead....madison is cool, and then I don't have to go anywhere :) Plus SK and I are nearly b-day twins, mine's the 23rd, so I think I should get to pick where the next birthday extravaganza is at

can kyle just join the band already?

i cant really think of anything except the standard favorite venue, song to play, artist/band they've toured with, song with the most meaning type of stuff.

Madison IS COOL. It is, indeed, the place of where those who birthed those who birthed SK settled (sorry, I think that was a Borders show quote). I would totally be happy with a special Chicago show, however. Midwest is love.

Elise hun you are missing out if you've never been to Chicago! Music is EVERYWHERE! Two baseball teams ( ....cough...White Sox....) and the food is amazing! But then again I'm a tad bias since I live here :) ...If you get a chance you need to go to the House of Blues here it's unlike any other you'll see

ever since i watched this travel channel show with samantha brown where she goes to chicago i've been dying to go there.
and making the trip for the sixers would be the smart thing to do.
so when the next year's tour is announced, i'll plan a trip around it.

and sorry Amy, but my Sox are red :P
