I was going to make a thread about the new album, but you beat me to it so now i'll just contribute.</p> <p>I downloaded the album.. I was somewhat (just somewhat) disappointed. The Damnwells are one of my all time favorite bands, I have all of their albums, tons of live shows etc. Basically I think Alex Dezen is a lyrical genius and I worship the musical ground he walks on... I had already heard about half the songs on this album and thought they were great. Bastard of Midnight was probably my favorite song of the summer.. but as I listened to the album I was somewhat underwhelmed, I felt like none of the songs really lived up to their full potential. Jesus Could Be Right was one of the songs I already had and I was really excited when I saw that it was on the album, but after I heard it I felt like it was rushed.. </p> <p>Don't get me wrong, I still think everyone should listen to One Last Century, and I do think its great, it's just not what I was expecting. I've listened to it about 11x now and I have grown to really like it. It's funny because when I first heard Glassjaw Boxer I was also a bit underwhelmed but then It became one of my favorite albums.. I guess that how it goes sometimes.. </p> <p>I also think that Angela Dezen is a GREAT addition to the Damnwells and the songs that feature her on backup vocals sound terrific. </p> <p>So everyone should download the album.
