It's a GREAT major to be in as far as the economy situation right now, because accountants will always be needed. I actually graduate in May, and I know the options on the job front are slim. The thing is, NO, I don't really like my major. I do like accounting, but I don't see myself being a CPA. I'm actually pursuing a job in management/accounting with a few firms in Nashville that do it for musicians. So in essence, I like accounting enough to do it when it's involved with something I love (music).</p> <p>My opinion- major in what you would enjoy learning about most. You can get any job regardless of your major (well, with a few exceptions). What do you want to do? For example, my friend's fiance was an education major, decided he didn't want to teach, and is now working for BB&#38;T doing financial stuff! As long as you have the degree, the actual major doens't seem to make that big of a difference.
